Edward “Peel” Coleman Community Center – Community Room

The Hours of Operation for the Community Center itself are the following:
November – March
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM: Monday – Thursday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Friday
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Saturday
Closed: Sunday

April – October
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM: Monday – Thursday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Friday
Closed: Saturday & Sunday

The rental fee for the Community Room is $60 USD per hour for Friday – Sunday rentals and $50 USD per hour for Monday – Thursday rentals. Plus a $50.00 Damage Deposit that is refundable if there is no damage to the hall after the event.

All rentals that are 4 hours or less will need to fall within the Center’s hours of operation shown above. All rentals that are 5 hours or more may be rented within the operating hours of 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM, seven days a week, with observing government holidays excluded.

There are (22) eight-foot and (10) six-foot rectangular tables, and one hundred twenty folding chairs available for the renter to set up at his/her own discretion. The city will put furnishings away after completion of the rental, but they do not set up rooms in advance.

A full warming kitchen is available with a serving window, (1) stove/oven, (2) full refrigerators/freezers, a triple basin sink, and ample prep space.

The room is equipped with a full six-speaker surround sound audio that is Bluetooth capable. There is currently no visual equipment in the room. DJs are welcome in the space at the renter’s cost.

The space can accommodate up to 120 people.

Two entries/exits into the Community Room are accessed via the center’s main corridor.

The only way to have an absolute reservation of the Community Room is payment in full.

All reservations for the Community Room must be booked and paid in full, 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE of any rental date.

Alcoholic beverage requests must be done in writing and approved by the Parks and Recreation Director, with the following stipulation in place; Two (2) City of Canton Police Officers must be hired in advance and paid hourly by the renter for the entirety of the rental.
